As a family, we were shocked to hear the news that at the young age of 22, Sydney was diagnosed with terminal, stage 4, metastatic, ovarian cancer. Sydney grew up during her younger years in Washington state, then her family moved to Montana, which is where she has been up until recently. After Sydney was diagnosed and needed immediate care, she moved in with her mom, Michelle to Washington. Sydney is surrounded by her family who is extremely supportive and determined to help get her through this … to not only extend her life but to beat this cancer and defy all odds the doctors have placed against her. Per her last scan, Sydney's Oncologist shared with them that this diagnosis was terminal and gave her 2 years. This time is crucial to fight and work quickly for her healing. Before moving to Washington, Sydney worked as a preschool teacher for about 4 years. A job that she loved fiercely. Sydney has a bright and determined spirit! She will not let this get her down; we are there to support her in every way possible. Her mom Michelle has been up through the night with Sydney in pain, taking her to the ER, cancer appts, and chiropractors as she now has a slipped disk in her back. All of this and still Michelle still works a full-time job. We believe in God that he created her body to heal and we are determined to find every possible avenue to help her body do that.
