My name is Maurice Kennedy and I’m excited to share Washed, a short film that’s been on my heart for a long time. This is a story of redemption, grace, and the struggle to accept forgiveness.

THE STORY

Washed follows Carter, a young man with a troubled past, as he takes a bold step toward baptism. But when he hears others share their testimonies, doubts creep in. He feels unworthy—his mistakes are too fresh, his sins too big. As he stands in the water, the weight of judgment overwhelms him, and he runs. What follows is a moving exploration of fear, shame, and the relentless love of Christ through those who refuse to let him go.

WHY THIS STORY?

We all know what it’s like to feel unworthy, to question if grace is really for us. Washed isn’t just a film—it’s a message for anyone who has ever struggled to believe that redemption is real. Through raw emotion and powerful storytelling, we want to remind people that no one is too far gone for God’s love.
