Your support is appreciated for The Pier Peddler!

In 1985 my folks opened the Pier Peddler. Never in a million years did I think at any point I would be doing a fundraising page! Though our business has had its fair share of ups and downs, like most family businesses, we survived...until now.

On September 28, 2022 Hurricane Ian devastated Ft. Myers Beach and completely destroyed The Pier Peddler. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in inventory, fixtures and supplies vanished overnight. The building was completely destroyed.

2 years ago, during the Covid pandemic, I was able to keep my folks on payroll even though we were closed for several months. This catastrophe is too big for me to handle alone.

Encouraged by so many of our followers, I have decided to put up this page and thank you in advance for any contribution you make. 100% of the monies will go to support the employees of The Pier Peddler and to create a plan for our future.

The Pier Peddler was famous for our display of service patches, police, fire, and border control...patches from all over the country and all over the world. Believe it or not, the only items recovered from the wreckage have been these patches,,, including one whole section of a wall fround almost 2 miles away! We prided ourselves on being that little shop folks looked forward to visiting every year on their vacation! We loved every minute of being there for you and we thank you for being there for us, now.
