Emigrants Today is a podcast that gives Georgian emigrants a voice. It tells their stories, offers tips on dealing with homesickness, setting financial goals, and staying connected to home. It also features diaspora organizations working from afar to support democracy in Georgia.
The podcast is hosted by Tamara Jobava and Mariam Japaridze. Tamara, an emigrant herself, made the bold choice to return to Sakartvelo to help fight against rising autocracy. Mariam, after studying abroad and having every opportunity to stay in the West, also chose to come back—believing in the future of her country.
The mission is to build and nurture a strong Georgian emigrant community—because emigrants play a key role not only in strengthening Georgia’s economy but also in shaping its democratic future.
