Dear Friends and Community,

I am reaching out to you today to ask for your support for our dear friend, Mary Conley, who is currently facing significant health challenges that have prevented her from working.

On February 14th, Mary was hospitalized for severe internal digestive issues and has been in the hospital since then. It was discovered that she had a blockage in her colon, which resulted in a sudden rupture to her bowel wall sending her into emergency surgery. The obstruction was removed and sent out to test for malignancy. Her colon was severed & she will have a long road to recovery. Since the surgery, they have discovered several pockets of infection in her colon & she will have to have another surgery to install drains so these pockets can dissipate. She is not out of the woods yet and has had to deal with complication after complication. Not only has our beloved friend been dealing with the physical and mental struggles, but also with the financial burdens that come from being unable to work.

Mary is a valued member of our Mechanicsburg community. She is a literal Superwoman- a wife to Scott and loving mother of 3 kids- Taylor, Kylie, & Austin. She is also co-owner & managing partner of Moe’s Bar & Grill, a community staple. To say she is a busy woman is an understatement, and she will be unable to work for the foreseeable future. Her husband Scott has also had to take a lot of time off work to be at the hospital with her and to keep their household running.

If you know Mary, you know she will do anything for anyone without hesitation, and she gives back much of her time and money to help those in need in our community. Her medical condition and all the unknowns ahead of her are bad enough, without the additional stress of worrying about all the missed work & just paying their regular bills in addition to the mounting medical costs. After dozens of tests and procedures (which are still ongoing) and a long hospital stay, the medical bills will be crippling for this family. I’m hoping that by starting this GoFundMe campaign, we can help to ease her stress & her family’s financial burden. Please join me by donating today!
