About the Fundraiser:

Nang Khai graduated from Loras College (Iowa) in 2012. As Vice President of the Loras Intercultural Group and a Student Government senator, Khai has consistently advocated for the rights of religious and ethnic minorities in Burma through awareness events and campaigns. He previously worked at USA for UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees), fundraising to support and assist refugees across the globe, many of whom originated from Burma (Myanmar). Khai completed his graduate studies at Syracuse University in 2015 and is now a consultant teacher at Binghamton City School District while also running an organization called Lainatna Education, which provides quality, affordable, and accessible education to students in Burma.
