Help to keep orphans safe after their mothers recent death

I am raising funds to benefit my friend Basiru, who is a recently orphaned 17 year old from Gambia. He has 3 young siblings that he is now the sole caretaker of and they are in dire conditions, as they have no resources for shelter or food after the recent death of their mother. Basiru is working his hardest to provide shelter and food for himself and his 3 young siblings and is a kind and hopeful soul who refuses to give up on life and is teaching his siblings the same. They could use our help more than ever right now.

Below are Basiru's words:

My name is Basiru-Surly, I am 17 years old and I am living an orphan with my siblings in the Gambia in West Africa. I lost my father some years ago and in the past months I lost my mum to TB. Hence I lost both my parents and we are definitely not living in our own compound but kept in someone's home with suffering because the person never make us happy, there is no love for us and no care. We lack food for survival needs and starve a lot almost everyday to another and never have the good shelter. I am the eldest son of my family and I go to the bush to look for firewood and sell it in order for good food to be gotten so that we can survive. I am a young man with full of hope because as far as life is existing The future is always better than the present, taking responsibilities at an early age is never an easy task and so we are here pleading for a donation to be able to make life easier for us.
