Help to Support Natalie on Her Healing Journey
Donation protected
On behalf of the family of Natalie.
On the morning of Tuesday, September 10th, 2024, 11-year-old Natalie was waiting for her school bus outside of her house when she was tragically struck and pinned by a vehicle. Firefighters and paramedics at the scene worked to remove her to safety as her mother looked on. Natalie was transported to McMaster Children’s Hospital where she underwent immediate surgery. Natalie was admitted to the PICU and the family learned that she had sustained life-altering injuries. She has undergone multiple surgeries in the weeks since the event and has faced many challenges. She will continue to face many challenges including extensive rehabilitation. Her family, including her mother, grandparents, aunts and uncles, have made sure that Natalie has always had someone by her side.
Natalie is a strong, witty, kind young girl loved dearly by her family and friends. She is facing each day bravely but has a long battle ahead.
Many people have reached out to ask if there is a GoFundMe so on behalf of the family, we have set up this page to help with the treatment and care of Natalie.
The family would like to thank the firefighters and paramedics who were first at the scene. They would also like to thank McMaster Children’s Hospital, especially the surgical teams that continue to care for Natalie, the Paediatric Intensive Care team, the Physio team and all the caring nursing staff who are helping Natalie on her healing journey.
The family is extremely grateful for the outpouring of support from the wider community. Natalie has a long road ahead and your care and generosity will greatly assist in making sure that she is surrounded by the love and support of her friends and family.
All of the funds raised will be held in a secure account and utilized for Natalie's immediate and ongoing care. This fundraiser has been approved by Natalie's mother and her close family members.
