My name is Damiyr. If you’ve received this link, you’ve probably come in contact with my music in some way. As most of you know, I came from 7 years of playing music in the NYC subway before having some very beautiful blessings come to me in support of my music career such as America’s Got Talent, Undercover Boss with Darius Rucker, Uproxx Uncharted and more.
At the time, I didn’t know how expensive it was to be a musician! I simply wanted to be expressive and creative. But I soon learned...
My first album cost $30k
My second and third album cost 20k
And now I’m prepping to record my 4th album and I’m determined to find ways to minimize the cost yet continue to deliver quality music that opens the heart and touches the conscious mind. I have a beautiful little baby boy on the way so my funds are first and foremost his for whatever he and his mother needs. This year its absolutely essential that I reach out to my community, my listeners and my family for support.
Which brings me to this current album:
Simple Moments
In my life as a musician, whenever I’ve expressed my story through music in the simplest ways, that music has always been the most impactful. Not only for me but for others. This album I will be leaning into simplicity and trusting that my voice, my lyrics and my guitar are more than enough to convey the messages I’d like to convey.
It’ll also be much cheaper! hahaha :)
Whereas my first album was budgeted to $3k per song, my next two albums $2k per song, I’ve budgeted this one to 1k per song for 10 songs:
