This month, I’m joining the No Shave November movement to raise awareness for men’s health. On average, men live nearly six years less than women, and a major reason is that many men delay or avoid seeking mental or physical healthcare.
This cause matters to me personally because I’ve seen men I love put off getting help — both for physical problems and for mental health — and it often led to worse outcomes than if they’d acted sooner. It’s a reminder that checking in, talking, and supporting each other can literally save lives.
I’m supporting the Men’s Health Network, a national organization that funds education, screenings, and support for men who need it. Their outreach truly matters and saves lives — and over 90% of donations go directly into programs supporting men’s health.
I completely understand if you can’t donate — money is tight, or you may support other important causes. But please consider doing something this November to raise awareness: donate, grow out your facial hair, or start a conversation about health with someone you care about. Every action helps.
