Hi everyone, my name is Maddox (some of you know me as Carly), and at 27 years old, I recently learned I need to have a hysterectomy and that I won’t be able to have kids. After years of unexplainable pain and numerous medical appointments, this year, I finally discovered that a hysterectomy is the necessary step for my health and well-being.

I’ve been diagnosed with adenomyosis, a condition where the tissue that normally lines the uterus grows into the muscle of the uterus, causing heavy periods, severe cramping, and pelvic pain. While treatments like pain relief or hormone therapy can help, a hysterectomy is the best option to stop the pain and improve my quality of life.
