Giving back to someone who has given so much

As friends of Kathie and her husband, we are creating this Go Fund Me to help someone who has been a source of inspiration, joy, support, love, and so much more to many friends, colleagues, students, and students’ families.

Kathie Raymond is a much loved violin teacher/musician in Louisville, KY. She is navigating the treatment, cost, and unfortunate news that her husband has been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.  Treatment options are hopeful,  but require immediate and aggressive action. Chemotherapy was started this week, and will continue with periods of rest between treatments. He is unable to work during this time.

On top of the physical demands of treatment, medical costs, loss of income, and the uncertainty and costs the future, this situation takes a heavy toll physically and emotionally, and certainly financially. Please help them cover the cost of his treatment and help to buffer his loss of income.

As a friend and colleague, Kathie has been an absolute rock in my life. She and her husband have been pivotal in making my life in Louisville feel like the city is now my home. They give so much so those around them, I encourage all those they have touched and worked with to help them during this time. -Michael Hill
