Hello Everyone! my name is Talya and I am the sister in law of Andrew and Kelsi Thomas! I have been blessed to grown with them and live life with these amazing people! I would love to share their stories in hopes we can share the word and help them reach their ultimate goal in life and be apart of their journey! Kelsi was 16 when she was rushed to the hospital with terrible abdominal pain. she was unable to hold anything down or even walk at this point. Her mom mindy rushed her to the ER where they were told her appendix was actively rupturing and she would need emergent surgery! Around 1:30am that morning she was tooken into surgery they surgeons discovered it was not her appendix, it was an ovarian cyst rupturing. While performing her surgery they found both ovaries were covered in a multitude of cyst and on that day it started the fight of her journey where she was diagnosed with PCOS ( polycystic ovarian syndrome) which is a hormonal disorder that causes enlargement of the ovaries with small cysts on the outer edges. PCOS can cause missed or irregular menstrual periods, weight gain, excess hair growth, acne, and for Kelsis case Infertility issues. There is no cure for PCOS at the moment but symptoms can be managed through various treatments and lifestyle changes she has made! Andrew and kelsi met in middle school when they were 12 and dated throughout middle school and high school, at 18 they parted ways BUT eventually found their way back to each other at the prime ages of 20 and 21! Andrew always told his mom in middle school " im gonna marry that girl one day" and on April 8 , 2017 they tied the knot! They have been trying so hard for a family ever since! On January 21,2023 they found out they were expecting their beautiful bundle of joy! But sadly on January 24, 2023 they had a miscarriage with no known causes. Though they have battle through tetrious storms and tribulations and multiple drs they are still staying close with god and holding onto hope that one day god will bless them with their bundle of joy! On friday June 20th Kelsi and Andrew had a fertility appointment in Lubbock with an amazing team of drs and nurses that heard them and made them feel welcomed! They gave them the ringer to start their journey to fight for that sweet baby they have always dreamed for! SO far Kelsi will be on her journey to loosing 25lbs and getting on ovulation kit to monitor her ovulation cycles to ensure she is ovulation as she is suppose to! IF she does not ovulate they will start medication management to assist with this! For Andrew they will be doing blood work and a semen analysis to ensure they are watching and checking for EVERYTHING! This go fund me is going to help them with the medical cost to get their journey started! The Many testing imaging and other things unfortunately insurance doesn't cover a whole lot of! This as many may know gets expensive fast! So we are looking for help to help this beautiful couple of god to Fight for their road of gold to their bundle of joy!! any donation is welcome and appreciated more than you all know!!
