Hi my name is Blanca and I am fundraising in support of my son, Josue Martinez-Sanchez. Josue is 13 years old, and he is the strongest person I know. Josue is battling refractory osteosarcoma, and this battle for the past two years has been very costly for our family. In 2021, Josue received above the knee amputation to fight his bone cancer. He worked so hard with PT to adapt to life after amputation. He then went through chemotherapy, but unfortunately had tumor growth in his lungs, and then he had to go through radiation therapy. He has spent countless nights in the hospital and in rehab facilities, and despite that he has always kept a positive attitude and his sense of humor. Unfortunately, m recently, it was discovered that Josue has tumor in his eye, and he will be undergoing radiation and additional surgery. Unfortunately, even with these interventions, doctors are saying he will likely not make it to his 14th birthday. We want to fundraise to help us with household bills that have been piling up while we have been inpatient at the hospital. Josue requires 24/7 care and I have been by his side, unable to work, so the money raised will help us keep a roof over our head and food on the table. As well, we would like to be able to grant some wishes for Josue, such as a trip to Legoland and Christmas gifts, so he can enjoy the time we have with him.
