On March 22nd, Jade was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma, grade III, a fast growing cancer, which had also spread to the lymph nodes. Over the next six weeks, she underwent numerous biopsies and scans to determine if the cancer had metastasized to other areas of the body and to determine if there was any secondary cancer. Jade started chemotherapy treatment (TCHP) on May 3rd and will complete 6 cycles of this aggressive treatment. Jade tested positive for the BRCA2 gene, which will require her to have a double mastectomy, followed by a hysterectomy in the near future. Radiation therapy will follow her breast surgery. A cocktail of treatment via infusion will continue for at least 9 months following breast surgeries.
