My name is Isaiah Kottke. I’m a high school student with the goal of becoming a psychologist so I can dedicate my life to helping others. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about making a difference through Scouting, friendships, and service and now I have the opportunity to leave a lasting mark on my community.

I’ve been involved in Scouting my entire life, giving back through leadership training and service to my troop. Now, I’m working toward the pinnacle of that journey: my Eagle Scout Project. This project is especially meaningful because it allows me to give back to a place that has been a spiritual home for so many: Oak Hill United Methodist Church.

For the past 20 years, the church’s labyrinth has been a place of prayer, reflection, and connection with God. Unfortunately, it has become overgrown and difficult to use, taking away that peaceful experience from the people who cherish it. My project will restore the labyrinth, making it accessible once again for anyone seeking peace, reflection, and spiritual renewal.

This is more than just a project to me. It’s about service, community, and restoring something sacred. But I can’t do it alone. I need the support of friends, family, and community members to help cover the costs of materials like decomposed granite, weed barrier fabric, and stone edging.

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned in both Scouting and high school is that support changes everything. With the encouragement of others, we can go far beyond what we imagine for ourselves. With your help, I can make this vision a reality and bring the labyrinth back to life.
