As many of you know, our family’s world was turned upside down this past January when Ethan was involved in a traumatic motorcycle accident. While we are incredibly grateful that his life was spared, the injuries he sustained are life-changing.

Ethan suffered a complete brachial plexus avulsion — all five nerves that control his arm were pulled from the spine. This has left him with the permanent loss of use of his arm and severe, daily pain that is only minimally relieved by current treatment options. He faces additional surgeries and ongoing specialist appointments as we navigate the next steps in his recovery.

Because of these injuries, Ethan is no longer able to work at his previous job. While he is actively seeking employment that can accommodate his limitations, our family is carrying significant financial burdens, including insurance premiums, co-pays, occupational therapy, prescriptions, and everyday living expenses. The other driver’s limited insurance coverage does not come close to meeting these needs, and our attorney is working through that process as Ethan continues treatment.
