Hi, my name is Esther, I am from Papua New Guinea, Morobe Province and I’m reaching out with a hopeful heart during one of the most challenging times of my life.

Twelve years ago, I bravely faced breast cancer. After extensive treatment, I was blessed with remission and many healthy, hopeful years. But just recently, everything changed. I’ve been diagnosed with an aggressive form of secondary ovarian cancer.

This diagnosis came as a complete shock when I was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday, 2nd April 2025. As an international student living in Australia on a study visa, I don’t have access to the full healthcare support that many others might.

I now face major surgery, several rounds of chemotherapy, and intensive ongoing medical treatment. The emotional and physical toll is immense—but so is the financial burden.

We’ve launched this GoFundMe campaign to help cover the overwhelming costs of my care, including:

Surgery and a hospital stay of up to 10 days, estimated at $35,000–$45,000

Scans and tests (blood work, imaging, CT scans, ultrasounds, PET scans, chest X-rays)

Six cycles of chemotherapy (estimated cost per chemo circle is $3,404.00, included in total estimate)

Monitoring and follow-up treatment

Initial hospital admission from 2/04/2025 to 12/04/2025, estimated at $27,245.00 (partially in discussion with insurance

Our overall fundraising goal is $100,000 to ensure that I can receive the treatment I urgently need. We’ve started with a target of $30,000 to begin covering the most immediate costs.
