Hello,

I am raising funds for our dad who today was tragically hit by a car whilst sending off the Newcastle Knights to their grand final day.

Dave was caring for both his granddaughters in Wallsend when he pushed the girls out of the way and was struck by a car. He has just undergone 8 hours ins surgery with multiple fractures in both legs. Both girls are staying at the John Hunter tonight in good spirits!

Many people in the community and Wallsend are asking us how they can show their support so I am doing my best to direct that energy towards him from afar.

We are raising money to help ease the financial burden of the family during this heartbreaking time to help with travel, accomodation, meals and getting Dad back on his feet.
