Memorial Day weekend a freak & tragic accident sent 3 year old Chloe into an active fire pit while camping. She suffered 1st to 3rd degree burns over 35% of her body (both legs, left hand & left side of her face). She’s currently at Children’s Hospital where she has undergone 5 surgeries thus far and more to come. The last one entailed completing skin grafting and removal of dead skin on 15% of her legs combined. The patchwork her skin became between the skin grafts and burns shows triumph, perseverance, bravery, and strength. The scars she will now wear are road maps to her determination used to fight through adversity.
Thank You for all the prayers and support that Chloe has received. Many have reached out still wanting to help, but her needs are still unknown. Her future involves a long recovery- many trips to and from the hospital & outpatient clinics, OT, PT, relearning to walk, PTSD therapy, reusing her dominant hand, specialized day care, and home visits--all while still wanting to be an active 3 year old.
Through it all, her personality has shown through while trying to find a reason to smile even when the clouds are their darkest. Her positive attitude and will has been AMAZING!
Thank you in advance for your support!!!!!
