Donate to support Beck Strommer’s skating journey

Hello Everyone! My name is Beck Strommer. I am a Team USA Athlete for US Figure Skating, a National Medalist, and a 4x International Medalist. Over the last 5 years, my parents have made many financial and personal sacrifices to support my skating journey. These sacrifices include several costly moves within the state of Colorado, a move from Colorado Springs to Philadelphia, and most recently, I moved on my own to Southern California to train with a new team. I have been working diligently to add to my technical arsenal and continue to develop my artistry. I have also started coaching learn-to-skate and private lessons, working evenings and weekends to supplement my skating expenses, as figure skating at an elite level is very costly. We have always understood that skating is a privilege and not a necessity. With this in mind, we have never asked for financial support from anyone else, regardless of how much financial strain we've been under.

Now that I am living on my own in California, my parents recently moved to Asheville, NC. Only 2 weeks after their move to Asheville, they were displaced from their new home by Hurricane Helene. Fortunately, my mom and dad, 3 dogs, and cat made it through the storm physically unscathed. They are currently living more than 3 hours away from Asheville with the 3 dogs, while a kind neighbor looks in on the cat. It could be several weeks or more before they can return to their home.

In order to help them be better able to focus on their well-being and recovering from this unforeseeable event, I'm hoping to raise funds to help support my skating journey. Any amount you can spare will help alleviate the financial and emotional strain that comes with moving, subsequently living through a natural disaster, in addition to supporting an elite athlete, and would be so very appreciated.

I understand that many are suffering right now and feel privileged to be able to continue to train each day.
