This Giving Tuesday, I’m raising funds for Alpha-Bet Preschool, a nonprofit cooperative preschool that has supported young learners in Manassas for more than 55 years.

Alpha-Bet Preschool offers play-based, hands-on early learning for children ages 2 to 5 — helping them build confidence, curiosity, and essential social and emotional skills. But as a small nonprofit, the school relies heavily on community support to keep programs vibrant and accessible.

Here’s why your support truly matters:

Nonprofit = limited funding: Tuition alone doesn’t cover the full cost of quality early-childhood programs, especially with small class sizes and low student-to-adult ratios.

️ Hands-on learning is resource-intensive: Play-based education requires materials, art supplies, learning tools, outdoor equipment, and frequent replenishment.

Our unique spaces need care: The outdoor classroom, edible garden, playground, and learning environments all require ongoing maintenance and updates.
