Hi, My name is Steve and I’m fundraising for my Kidney Transplant Fund. This post may be the first time many of you learn this about me, but after much consideration and encouragement, I know it’s time to put this out there and ask for help.
On July 15, 2023, I was hospitalized and diagnosed with End Stage Renal Failure, in short, permanent failure of my kidneys . Since then, I have been on home dialysis, which I do for 4 hours, 4 times per week.
My treatment options are I could stay on dialysis for the rest of my life or Receive Kidney Transplant. As of February 21,2024 I’ve been placed on the National Kidney Transplant Registry.
A living donor kidney would allow me to stop dialysis, have the best possible return of kidney function and return to the quality of life that I love and miss dearly. If you or someone you know, is moved to help me with receiving a life saving kidney, please feel free to comment or contact me directly by email
This is a difficult request, but Ive been encouraged by my kidney team to leave no stone unturned. I'm confident someone, somewhere will come through with my kidney. It could be you. If you would like to learn more about living donor transplant go to Mayoclinic.org scroll down to living donor transplant. Thanks for reading my story.
Steven Ross
