Support Stephanie's Surgery and Recovery

My name is Stephanie. I am here reaching out for help for an upcoming surgery that will take place in the next few months.

For the past few years, I was told it was just irritable bowel syndrome. I had numerous tests done and was not getting any concrete answers. I was told to eat more fiber and drink more water. Multiple doctors would tell me the same thing. Even when I did everything right, the symptoms I was having persisted. After having a parasite in October that wreaked even more havoc on my digestive tract, I decided to go see a specialist. I scheduled an exam with a colorectal surgeon who instructed me to get a Dynamic Pelvic Floor MRI. This past November, I was diagnosed with Severe Pelvic Floor Dysfunction with Anterior Rectocele, Prolapse, and Intussusception. This has interfered with my ability to evacuate waste properly and has caused frequent infections. Without surgery, I have a higher risk for bowel obstruction.

I will be doing 12 weeks of physical therapy before the surgery takes place to aid in the process. There are multiple parts to this surgery, and the combined cost of the procedures involved is outside of my insurance. I will also be missing at least a month of work, maybe more. I am also ineligible for disability at this time. Any help is appreciated.
