Many of you may or may not know, but Stella Marie came into our household in April 2024. She was left on a porch in the Throgs Neck area of the Bronx (10465). With no information on who left her, we fostered her into our home for a week. After one week, we realized no one was coming. We immediately took her for blood work, fecal testing, shots, and a microchip. Stella got adopted by her parents Frankie, Jennifer, and two human siblings, Mia and Lorenzo. Since then, everything was smooth until Easter morning.

She started to not eat; we didn’t think much. We thought she was full from Easter! Tuesday and Wednesday, she started to decline, getting lethargic and not acting like her playful self. Thursday, I took her to the Animal Hospital of Morris Park (her vet) and requested blood work, urinalysis, and an ultrasound. Well, not realizing the sono report takes a day, they received the blood work and didn’t think to call me with the report and explain anything to me. Her numbers were really bad. Her red blood cells and platelets were extremely low. Friday at 3:00 pm, they called me and said after looking at the sono report and blood work, she is anemic and her spleen is enlarged; she needs to be at a hospital ASAP. I rushed her to VEG in White Plains. She was admitted with more rounds of blood work, X-rays, ultrasounds, IV fluids, antibiotics, and steroids. After almost 24 hours in their care, they stated she needs a specialty hospital because now she has fluid build-up in her abdomen. With tears in our eyes and the amount of money we just spent with no answers, we decided to take her home.
They don’t know what’s going on with her. They said these are the possibilities: autoimmune disease, infectious disease, or even lymphoma or hemangiosarcoma. Stella could have only one of those issues or even two.

I contacted the specialty hospital in Yonkers, and they stated the minimum to get any more testing with some results would be approximately $8-10k, with possible death of Stella due to the fact her blood is at dangerous levels.

We started this GoFundMe to receive help from loved family members, friends, and the community to try and save her life. But also, if we can’t, we would like to be able to do the right thing by her side with putting her at peace and cremation. No amount is too small. If you find it in your hearts to donate anything, we appreciate it more than you know, but Stella would also ♥️ when we look into her eyes we see she doesn’t want to leave and let go. We see she wants to fight. She can’t tell us what’s wrong

please we ask everyone to continue to pray for our girl. She needs all the prays she can get.
