Please support Sri Lanka and my fund raising appeal in any way you can.
Sri Lanka is suffering one of the worst humanitarian crises in its recent history.
Cyclone Ditwah brought devastation to Sri Lanka to multiple districts and provinces across the island. Over 600 people have died and hundreds of people are still missing. A million people have been displaced and have lost their homes and livelihoods.
The Central and Uva Provinces suffered horrendous landslides and flooding. Then walls of water caused reservoirs and rivers to flood towns, villages and agricultural lands in all directions.
The flooding and aftermath is catastrophic. I have volunteered in and been part of many community programmes for children and families in several of the terribly affected areas. Other affected areas I have visited and stayed in friend's homes.
More humanitarian dangers are arising with the risk of water borne illnesses, food & medical shortages, sanitation and access to clean water.
Donations will go towards fresh drinking water, food, medical supplies, sanitary items & essential daily items.
Disclaimer:
Julie Cox (UK and Spain), raising money for Sri Lankan flood victims.
All funds raised will be sent directly to the Sri Lankan Red Cross and to the Foundation of Goodness. Both organisations are working tirelessly across the country.
Every contribution, no matter the amount, will make a huge difference. Anybody, who wants to buy me a card, coffee, drink, present, any treat this Christmas, please could you donate to my beautiful second home Sri Lanka instead ❤️
Thank you, thank you, thank you
