Announcing our Go Fund Me campaign for Spotlight on Depression and KIEVA CAMPBELL: A Tribute to April Savino, the Sister I Never Met. This huge exhibition and presentation is aimed at solving Depression, the #1 Disability in the US and the World.
Opening on Saturday, November 8 at 2pm at El Camino College in Torrance, we will be launching a six month project which includes, Dr Jonathan Flint, who discovered the genetic link to Depression and the following artists, athletes, poets, musicians and others who have suffered from Depression or have helpful solutions.
Artists: Kieva Campbell, Jules Muck, Gary Tyler**, Kim Anno, Karen Hampton, Mindy Alper, Angelica Briones, Jeremy Kidd, Miranda Kahn. Poets Diane Luby Lane,(Get Lit), Matthew Cuban Hernandez, and Father Amde Hamilton.
Musicians: Mahalia Jean-Pierre, Janileigh Cohen and Sunny War.
Dancers: Saya Nikiniwa and Liz Adamis
NFL football: Erik Kramer (Detroit Lions), Sam Anno 1989 Special teams player of the year,
Olympic medal winners: 400 Hurdles, Anna Cockrell and Tasha Danvers.
This project is put on by El Camino College and Actions Speak Louder,Inc. As we believe in paying all people we work with, your donations will help fund this project AND allow it to spread to other venues. We are about halfway to our $85,000 goal; and are looking towards goFundme to reach the rest of our goal!
** Gary Tyler, once the youngest person on Death Row, did not suffer from Depression even though he had an execution date of May 1, 1976. We need to hear his strategies to avoid depression.
