Please help Skarlett with her upcoming medical needs. She will need two hip surgeries very soon, between the end of December and beginning of January. Both of the surgeries are very serious and will leave her not able to walk for 6 to 8 weeks after. She will have a long recovery, six months to a year of physical therapy to walk again and get back to her activities.

Skarlett participates in school with JROTC, Band and Ag mechanics learning welding and wood shop as well as many other classes. She is in AP classes and is a very smart bright girl! Currently she’s been suffering in tremendous amounts of pain since February this year. She’s missed several days of school since her initial hip injury due to pain and swelling. Some days are better than others but everyday is a challenge. She will have to be homeschooled due to her surgeries for the remaining of this school year. She’s been unable to participate in sports due to her hip injury. Skarlett is hoping for a full recovery and to be back to her normal activities by next school year. It will be a long journey for Skarlett.

With your financial help it will allow for medical care before and after her surgeries. Your contribution will help provide transportation to and from her appointments, as well as lodging during medical treatments with appointments and physical therapy. Skarlett’s doctor is 75 miles away in one direction. She will need full-time care after her surgeries. She will be unable to walk or stand and will need full time care and assistance for six to eight weeks. She will need support for medical supplies, transportation, special clothing and braces, food, and special bathing supplies as well. There are many expenses that she will need help with, including managing pain discomfort and her wound care after the operations.
