Jim's Journey:

Jim Zemien is bravely battling cancer for the second time. His latest fight began in April 2024 when he started having trouble speaking. A brain tumor was discovered, and he underwent immediate surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible, which helped improve his speech. Further tests revealed cancer in his lung, leading to radiation treatment for his brain and chemotherapy for his lung cancer.

Current Situation:

Despite a year of intensive treatments, Jim's cancer has not improved. He now has multiple inoperable brain lesions, and chemotherapy options for his lung cancer have been exhausted. The additional brain lesions have affected his speech, limiting his ability to respond with more than a few words, which is very frustrating for him. Further radiation and possibly special chemotherapy treatments are planned in hopes of improving his speech.
