Hi, my name is Taryn Milhouse, and I’m asking for help for the most important person in my life my mom, Shirley Milhouse. On March 16, 2025, our world changed when she was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma a cancer of the plasma cells. To continue her healing journey, she has started undergoing a stem cell transplant. Part of her treatment means she has to stay close to MUSC in Charleston, SC, for over a month, so doctors can watch over her and make sure she gets the care she needs. While insurance covers some things, there’s a lot it doesn’t like daily living essentials, medical expenses, food, lodging, and transportation.

My mom is one of the strongest, most loving people and she’s always been there for others. I believe with all my heart that she has the faith, strength, and courage to get through this, but right now, she needs more support than I can give on my own.
