I'm starting this GoFundMe to help out a very special lady, my best friend that I’ve been friends with for over 40 years, Shawnee Thomas. She is going through some medical issues, trying to figure out what is causing the nodules on her airway and esophagus. They have to do a molecular test to find out what it is exactly, but they are leaning towards thinking it is some type of cancer. She’s currently going to the James Cancer Hospital to have many tests done, and she’s unable to work.

She is on a special diet that she’s only able to do liquids, so lots of Ensure, Boost, Instant Carnation Breakfast, and smoothie stuff. You guys know how expensive that stuff can be. Also, the price of gas for her to get back and forth to the doctors for her tests is high, and she absolutely needs these done but is out of funds to be able to get there. Please, if you can donate just $1, it adds up and it will be used to make sure she gets the care and stuff she needs.

If you guys know Shawnee, you know when she was able to, she would help anyone with anything. She has always been the type of person to give you her last dollar, and she is not one to ask for help, so that is why I set up the GoFundMe for her. I knew she never would, and I also know she would rather starve than ask for help. So please, if you can donate, if you're not able to, please share it on all your social media platforms so we can try and get her just a little bit of help. Shawnee also has 2 teenage sons that live with her and she’s responsible for taking care of so she could also use any gift cards for grocery stores or fast food places for when they are going back and forth to the hospital.
