Urgent Help Needed for My Aunt Sharon

Hi, my name is Lilli, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help. I am working diligently to raise at least $180,000 for my Aunt Sharon, a woman who has always been a pillar of strength and support for so many, including myself.

For as long as I can remember, Aunt Sharon has been there for everyone around her. When my mom passed away, she stepped in without hesitation, offering comfort and guidance. No matter the situation, Aunt Sharon was always willing to lend a hand, whether it was providing a hot meal or offering kind words of encouragement. She has given so much of herself to others, often without asking for anything in return. She would literally give you her last dollar and go without if it meant helping someone in need. It is so unfortunate that over the last few months, Aunt Sharon’s health has taken a tragic turn. The family never could have imagined the severity of what was to come! Just one month before her 60th birthday, everything changed. Aunt Sharon underwent an emergency amputation of her leg, followed by heart attacks that almost took her out. Since her early 20's she has ben battling this disease, and it's only by God's grace that she is still with us today.

Despite these incredibly tough challenges, Aunt Sharon is making progress and steadily gaining strength as she recovers. She is determined to fight every step of the way! However, there are many obstacles ahead. She is no longer able to work, and her situation has created an overwhelming financial burden. After spending a lengthy time in the hospital, she was finally discharged to recover at home; however, her home is no longer safe or accessible to her needs. She now requires full-time, round-the-clock care, along with expensive hyperbaric treatments. On top of that, she has lost her medical coverage, leaving her with skyrocketing prescription costs and mounting medical bills. She also needs specialized equipment to help lift and reposition her body as she continues to gain strength. Without the ability to drive, Aunt Sharon also has to rely on paying for transportation to get to doctors' appointments, treatments, and other essential medical visits. Her home also needs urgent renovations to accommodate mobility aids, including modifications to her bathroom, bedroom, and proper access in and out of her home. Her siblings have been trying to help, but they, too, are retired, and their resources are quickly dwindling. The ongoing costs are too much for her to bear alone.

This is where we need your help! We’re urgently trying to raise $180,000 to help cover medical care and accommodations that Aunt Sharon desperately needs. All contributions, small and large, will make a huge difference in her journey to recovery. Aunt Sharon has spent her life giving selflessly to others, and now it’s our turn to give back to her. Please help us give her the comfort, care, and dignity she deserves during this incredibly difficult time.
