Hello everyone, I am starting this GoFundMe for my sister Shannon and her husband Danny.

Shannon has been off and on for about a year before she just felt so terrible she couldn’t continue working.

On Jan 7th, Shannon showed signs of a stroke and hemorrhaging. Her hemoglobin blood count was down to 5. After scans, it was found that Shannon had a mass. She was sent to a cancer doctor and then to a gynecologist, who referred Shannon to Dr. Dewdney at Rush.

Then, on Thursday the 13th, Shannon was hemorrhaging again and was brought by ambulance to Riverside. They thought she would be better cared for at Rush Hospital, so they took her by ambulance to Rush, where she received a hysterectomy. The surgeon discovered that Shannon had uterine cancer that had spread to her ovaries and part of her colon. The doctor was able to remove the uterus, ovaries, and part of her colon to remove the tumor but she will have to undergo chemo treatments.

Shannon is currently still at Rush hospital. They took her off of fluids for a couple days but she is back on fluids and they said her hemoglobin is low again.

Shannon has always been a loving and caring person and would do just about anything for anyone. Watching someone so caring go through this is truly heartbreaking. Cancer is vicious and we all just want Shannon happy and healthy again. Shannon and Danny have both been out of work due to doctor appointments and Shannon being too sick to work since before Christmas. We are asking for donations to help with the medical bills that are quickly adding up. Hopefully, this will take some stress off of Shannon and Danny while Shannon recovers from this surgery and preps for her chemo treatments.
