I am Shanae Smith. I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my story. I was born and raised in Jamaica. On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, Hurricane Melissa struck our island, leaving us devastated and homeless. We've lost our home and also my grandmother during the hurricane.
