Hi everyone, as some of you may have heard, my Dad Seth Whitaker was diagnosed with a low grade Glioma tumor back in December of 2024. On December 13th of 2024 he started off his day by rounding up some cattle using his horse Cody, spontaneously Cody decided to take off when he wasn't fully seated in the saddle which resulted in him falling off and breaking his pelvis. We went to the ER immediately after and they did a full body CT scan and found a mass on his brain. We met with many doctors and tried for months to take medicines to try and shrink the tumor on our own. On July 17th 2025 we went for a monitoring check up appointment after having another MRI done and we were told the Tumor had grown. With his family and friends supporting him, that day we made the ultimate decision to go ahead with the awake craniotomy to try and remove an estimated 60%-70% of the tumor and to have a biopsy done at the same time to confirm the diagnosis. On August 20th 2025 Seth underwent an 11 hour awake craniotomy which resulted in the removal of about 80% of the mass and a confirmed diagnosis of a low grade malignant Insular Glioma tumor. Following the surgery he stayed in the hospital for 10 days trying to regain his strength in the right side of his body and his speech. On August 30th he was transferred to an Inpatient rehabilitation Facility to continue his Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapies. He was just discharged on September 7th and will just continue his therapy at an outpatient facility and in about 2 more weeks we will be meeting with the Oncology and Radiology teams to discuss when he will start Chemo and Radiation therapy to shrink the remaining 20% of the tumor. Right now we are looking at another 3 months at least of Seth's long road to recovery of healing and getting Chemo and radiation which means he will not be able to work during this time. We are trying to cover all of his current and potential medical bills as well as keep the business up and running while he is out of commission. Any and all donations will go towards his medical bills and keeping his business and household going along with other household bills, so when he is all healed up he can jump right back into being the same great Outfitter guide he has always been. We also would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone that has reached out and has been praying for his recovery during this strenuous time, we appreciate you all more than words could even describe. If you have any questions you can reach out to me personally on Facebook messenger or message me on here and I can get back to you.
