Hi everyone, my name is Serita Brown. I’m a mother of 5 and grateful to God that I’m still alive. I went from being perfectly healthy, working, in school full-time, actively serving in church, public speaking, advocating for others, helping multiple churches doing outreach, singing, and taking care of my family, to having multiple health conditions. Two of which is called Chiari Malformation Stage 1 and an Aneurysm. I haven’t been able to work in the past 2 1/2 years due to my health issues. Which started out as Vertigo and Multiple blood Clots in both lower lobes of my lungs. The basic everyday things I used to do are extremely hard and sometimes impossible for me to do. It’s so exhausting having to go to multiple doctors, specialists, getting blood work, tests, scans, physical therapy, in and out of the hospital, losing weight, and everything else. I never complain about anything, and it’s so hard for me to ask for help because I was always the giver, the listening ear, the helper, the person who has always been there for everyone else. In this time of my life, I need help, and I’m not ashamed to ask anymore. Anything that you can contribute would be greatly appreciated. God is truly a healer, and as long as he keeps giving me the strength to keep pushing through, I will continue to do just that. I will keep everyone posted on my healing journey.
