A Mom on a Mission - Support My Graduate Studies
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Seraya, and I’m a single mom to three amazing kids—my oldest is 11, and my twins are 9.
I’m incredibly proud to share that I’ve been accepted into the Clinical Psychology Master’s program at the University of Texas Permian Basin. This move to Texas marks a new beginning—not just for me, but for my children and the generations that come after us.
This journey is about so much more than earning a degree. I’ve spent years healing from deep generational trauma and working hard to break cycles of pain, survival, and silence. I’ve done the inner work to change patterns, to show my children that we can live with intention, with love, and with purpose. Now, I want to use that healing to help others do the same.
Becoming a therapist is my way of giving back—especially to people who’ve experienced trauma, marginalization, and the weight of inherited wounds. I believe in the power of healing, not just for individuals, but for families, communities, and future generations. I carry this belief with me every step of the way—as a mother, as a student, and as someone paving a path forward for the seventh generation.
But in order to take this next step, I need help. Moving to Texas with my children is an exciting but expensive transition. Between travel, deposits, housing, and starting over in a new place, the costs are more than I can carry alone.
That’s why I’ve created this GoFundMe. Your support will help us with:
• Moving truck and travel expenses
• First month’s rent and security deposit
• Basic furnishings and household items
• School supplies and essentials for the kids
Whether you can give or simply share this story, it means the world to us. Thank you for walking with us on this journey—for believing in healing, in transformation, and in the future we’re working so hard to build.
With all my heart, thank you.
