For her bat mitzvah project, Seneca adopted an injured sea turtle named Montel, a resident at The Turtle Hospital in Marathon, FL for more than 23 years. Montel lost his front flipper from being entangled in fishing line, was attacked by a shark and lost part of his right front flipper, was hit by a boat and is missing an eye due to fibropapilloma tumors.
