We are heartbroken to share that our beloved family member, Momodou Sowe, tragically drowned in Italy on Friday, June 20th. Born on November 21, 1995, Momodou was a kind, caring person who always dreamed of a better future for himself and his loved ones back home in The Gambia.

This sudden loss has left our family devastated. Amid our grief, we are now faced with the heavy responsibility of repatriating Momodou's body home so he can be laid to rest with dignity in his homeland.
