I am in need of help, whether financially or expanding the reach of my message - to escape from 5 years of abuse and that has been escalating since March 2025 and becoming more violent.

Local resources are strained and not able to work as fast as unchecked violence.

I’m reaching out for support during a critical time as I work to rebuild my life after surviving an abusive relationship, ongoing harassment, malicious retaliation, and economic sabotage. I had to resign from my job to ensure the safety of myself and coworkers due to the escalating harassment and intimidation. I am currently navigating court proceedings, securing safe relocation, and covering basic needs while pursuing freedom and healing.

My most urgent need is safe housing. My ex moved from Pierce County to 8 minutes from my house in Olympia after he was served a temporary restraining order.

After being blindsided by the courts dismissal of the permanent Domestic Violence Protection Order two weeks later, my ex and his 16-year-old child have been emboldened by local law enforcement to trespass, damage and steal my property, and most recently break out two of my car windows. OPD has been zero help, not even helping to have them trespassed from my property. This is not uncommon in the world of domestic violence.

Due to the ever-expanding network of associates my ex has from being incarcerated, it is no longer safe for me to remain in Olympia... or Thurston County. The reality is, I'm not even safe in Washington.

If we hit $5,000, that would secure safe housing for myself and my child, outside of Thurston County, but still in Washington. I could also get my windows fixed so I can have a safe vehicle again.

If we hit $8,000, that would help me with legal costs related to the abusive litigation and court sealed name change. I have been failing miserably at doing this on my own through the courts, and need to hire legal representation. Additionally, hiding my location is critical and without my name following me safe housing is a possibility.

If we hit $10,000, it would cover all this.... and help rebuild our new lives in our new city with our dogs after this 5 year long nightmare.

I have found a landing place and began networking with local resource groups to prepare for the long journey to my new city. I just need to get there. The damage to my vehicle adds to the growing costs associated with his economic abuse the longer I stay.

Domestic Violence is largely misunderstood and I know there are so many others out there who have experienced varying versions of this.
