Donate to Secure Mohammed's Family's Future after losing him

Yesterday, March 26, 2025, my dear neighbor and friend, 48-year-old Mohammed Hammad, left this world after a year-long battle with esophageal cancer. Mohammed was more than a friend—he was a brother to me and a pillar of kindness and strength in our community. Our kids are close friends and go to the same school at Tomball ISD Wildwood Elementary.

A devoted Muslim, he lived his faith through his actions: a warm smile for everyone, a helping hand whenever needed, and an unshakable dedication to his family. He leaves behind his loving wife and their four beautiful children, three boys and a beautiful girl—all under the age of 10—who were the light of his life.

Mohammed was a hard worker, pouring his heart into providing for his family. Even as cancer stole his strength, he fought with courage, determined to stay with his wife and little ones as long as he could. Attending his burial and funeral today was heartbreaking. Now, his wife and the kids face a future without him—and a mountain of challenges they shouldn’t have to bear alone. Medical bills from his treatment have piled up, funeral costs, probate court and lawyer expenses, and the family’s modest home, where Mohammed built so many memories with his children, is at risk with mortgage payments and monthly expenses stacking up.

I’m starting this GoFundMe because Mohammed’s family deserves the peace of mind he’d want for them. Every dollar raised will go directly to his family to cover medical debts, 6 months living expenses along with their mortgage, and the daily costs of raising four young kids until they are back on their feet. Mohammed was the kind of man who’d give anything to help a friend—now it’s our turn to give back to his family in their time of grief. Please donate whatever you can and share this with others.
