My name is Euro (seen in last photo on top left), and I'm a college student in Kent County, MD. I transferred to my school after taking a gap semester due to personal issues. When I started here, I made a fast friend named Cyn. I met Cyn in my first week at my new college. Within the next week, I had found my best friend. We would talk about our mutual struggles with mental health, play Minecraft, create art, and hang out with our larger friend group. I was so worried I wouldn't find anyone whom I would really, truly bond with until Cyn came along.
Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, Cyn lives fully at the college. Their dorm, a double they have to themselves, is filled with all their personal belongings and their precious cat, Ivy. Cyn had a job on campus, which was their only source of income. They worked their hardest all the time while also keeping me focused on my studies. But around the middle of this semester, there was a period where Cyn did not have access to their psychiatric medication due to the shortage of their medicine. They went through horrible withdrawal symptoms where they weren't able to attend class, work, or complete their assignments.
Due to Cyn's situation and their scholarship limits, they are unable to continue studying and working at the college and must leave by 4/12/25. There are limited resources in the area for those in situations such as Cyn's. This is why I've decided to start this GoFundMe. Since they have no income, and mine is incredibly limited, I've decided to garner public support for Cyn. Every little bit you can give, even if it's just $1, would be greatly appreciated to help my friend be secure in these hard times! ❤️
