Meet Billie Holiday

This sweet young pug was rescued after being heartbreakingly abandoned on the street in the middle of the night. A witness saw a car stop, the door open, and Billie tossed out — left to fend for herself. Thankfully, a kind person was able to catch her and bring her to safety.

Billie is underweight and clearly has recently had puppies. It’s likely she was used for breeding and discarded when she was no longer “useful.” But those days are behind her now.

She’s currently in a temporary foster home and will soon be transported to a loving long-term foster in Northern California. Billie will need support for basic care like food and veterinary treatment — and our top priority is to get her spayed, so she never has to go through another pregnancy again.

From now on, Billie will be the one receiving love and care — not giving it under hardship. Her days of struggle are over. ❤️
