Hi! Thank you for taking the time to read my story. My name is Nicole and I’m a single mom to a 2-year-old boy! (Almost!) My son and I fled a situation a few months back that caused us physical and mental pain. If his juice was spilled, he would be yelled at. If my son was being too loud, he was yelled at and slapped in the mouth. Playing with his toys that make noise, the toys were thrown.

We have been through so much. I remember praying in my son’s room every single night that he would love us, that he would snap and realize what he has and doesn’t want to lose. I’d pray for protection over my son. I’d pray that he wouldn’t wake up before I did so he didn’t have to deal with his dad.

My son and I fled while his dad was at work on third shift and we’ve been through such a journey since. We are currently living in a hotel room/our car. I do work full-time, plus I’m working any side jobs I can find. I’ll never stop trying to find a way. I’m coming on here to try gaining help towards a deposit on a new place, so I can maintain hotel bills and save, and pay my car note. I have a lot on me and it’s hard trying to save for a place when you’re paying for a hotel room every night, plus a car payment. $45/night for my hotel room isn’t cheap and gives me no room to save. If and when we get our place, I WILL be able to afford rent but saving for a deposit and first month while dealing with my costs already, it is A LOT of stress. I’m just trying to gain help towards my deposit so I can finally give my son a happy home.
