Hi! My name is Erin, and I am a proud Woodstown resident. I am seeking some generous hearts that would be willing to help my dear friends, Edison and his wife Scorah. They live in Kabale, Uganda (Africa). Several years ago, my sister Karla, felt called to help Edison through school through an organization called Compassion International. Edison wanted to continue his education at the University so my sister Karla, sister Kathy and I split the cost to send him to the University. He and his wife have two small children, Abigail and Elisha.

Over the past couple of years Edison has been trying to build a home. They currently live in a room that is shared in a building with other residents. He saved up enough money for material and they were destroyed by flood waters. He works diligently for his family but never makes enough.

My name is Edison Muhereza, and I am a 33-year-old Ugandan, married to Scorah, a social worker. We have two beautiful children. We've been blessed with a supportive friend, Karla Shaw and her sisters Erin and Kathy. They have sponsored me through Compassion International over 10 years ago. Their kindness enabled me to pursue a degree in Social Work, which I have used to serve my community.

Currently, my wife and I work in local NGO's, but we've faced challenges. Last year's rains destroyed our building materials, and our jobs have not been well paying. My wife has not received a salary since October due to her organization's financial constraints. Despite these setbacks, I've managed to gather materials like gravel, sand and blocks to start building a three roomed house in our village.

However, the blocks are getting damaged due to prolonged exposure, and I need help to start construction. I'm reaching out for support to cover the initial costs of at least $695. Any contribution will bring us closer to providing a safe and secure home for our family.
