Hi all! I’m Diane Corso with Prosh Pets, reaching out on behalf of my dear colleague and friend, Michelle Ruth. If you know Michelle, you know that the past several weeks have been critical for her beloved pup, Scout.

Just three weeks ago, Scout was happy and healthy. But everything changed overnight. After a routine follow-up for a minor injury, Scout was unexpectedly admitted to the ICU, needing emergency surgery to reroute her gallbladder. This procedure was extremely risky, with the potential for complications or even death. The surgery was performed just in time and saved her from going septic. Her recovery has been incredibly difficult, but she’s a fighter.

She spent 10 days in the ICU, and each day was lived hour by hour until she was able to come home. Unfortunately, she has had to return to the hospital several times to have fluid drained from around her lungs, and she’s faced other complications. They almost lost her multiple times. Scout is currently in the “it gets worse before it gets better” phase of recovery, and Michelle is taking it one day at a time. The next few weeks are critical for her recovery.
