Three weeks ago, the photos shown above were taken. Life has taken a sudden and most unexpected turn when the love of my life experienced one of the worst things anyone could have happen: a stroke.
Scott and I are DIY'ers in life in most all aspects, so this is a difficult ask for me to put out there. In fact, I really am having a tough time even finding words. Scott is tough... Scott is determined, Scott has the strongest willpower, and I know he will overcome this, given time to focus on healing and himself. Scott is also our main source of income and is going to be in recovery/relearning how to walk and talk and regain the use of his right side. I am actively looking for full-time employment with benefits in the event that his recovery takes longer than expected. I am currently making needed adjustments to our lifestyle to compensate for the upcoming lack of his paycheck when he is put on FMLA. That being said... I'm putting this out there for those reasons. GoFundMe is not something we would normally do, but we are learning that we do have to lean on our family, friends, and neighbors (and sometimes even kind strangers) when times are tough. The wonderful people surrounding us have been incredible and are keeping me strong during this when I feel emotionally weak which, in turn, is keeping me strong for Scott, and that is the most important thing I can do for him right now since he has politely asked for no visitors until he is able to regain some of his speech and mobility. He appreciates everyone's understanding of this so much.
If you can help, thank you. If you cannot, send up positive thoughts or a kind, uplifting message to share with Scott. Anything and everything is appreciated more than you can know. Thank you.
