Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some interested donors to help me out in raising funds to donate as a scholarship for soon to be graduates of Lawndale High School.

These students are exceptional and have been accepted to some choice colleges, but will face financial challenges on their academic path. The students have committed themselves to the Lawndale Biomedical Careers Academy during their high school education, so their chosen majors are primarily medical (nursing, physician, physical therapy, radiology, etc).

I initially signed on to be a donor and once I read all the applications submitted, I wanted to help raise more funds to acknowledge all the great scholars that applied. If you know me, I try my best to give back to communities and people in need, and I'm hopeful I'll encounter some kind Hawthorne, Lawndale, or Gardena alumni who are able to donate to some worthy students.

This GoFundMe will close this Friday, May 23rd.

Presentation of the awards will be next Thursday, May 29th.

As a product of the Lawndale school system, I understand the obstacles students encounter while trying to reach their academic goals. I'm hoping to help encourage them with a scholarship gift that will let them know they are seen and to keep working toward their goals.
