Donate to Save Ziggy and Baby Ruth

Meet Ziggy and Baby Ruth. These dogs were rescued by a Good Samaritan who unfortunately could not keep them. Both are malnourished and Baby Ruth is very underweight. Ziggy was seen by a vet; the Parvo test is negative, and both have been dewormed. The vet said they can’t have vaccines or spays until they are healthier. They go back for a follow-up around 8/22/2025.

We are asking for help to cover vet costs and food only. We have vouchers from a local rescue for discounted spays and are hoping to take them to Humane Society of Mohave County Animal Medical Center, a low-cost clinic for vet care. I estimate the girls will need to be with me at least a month until they can be fixed. Once they have their first set of vaccines and are fixed, the rescue can begin finding them homes, and there is no estimate on how long that can take.

Donations can be made via Go Fund me. Monday (8/11/25) I will try to set up an account at Humane Society of Mohave County Animal Medical Center so donations can go directly into an account for vet care for these girls. If there are any funds in the account after the girls are in thier forever homes, it will be donated to Kingman Humane Society in hopes it can help someone else.

Who am I?

My name is Tamara. I spent over 20 years in vet med and am passionate about rescue. I live in Bullhead City, Arizona. I normally only foster, but rescues are overflowing and funds are depleted. Rescues in my area aren’t able to put an animal in their care without being fixed and vaccinated first. This leaves the financial burden on me to care for these dogs. I wish I had the means to take this responsibility on by myself, but I need help.

The initial vet visit was $250, and that I am asking for help to cover. $50 was already donated, so I’m only asking for the remaining $200 be reimbursed to me. All other funds will go straight to the Vet for their care.

They say it takes a village to raise a child; it takes a village to help animals, too. I’m hoping this village will be generous and kind, so I can help these girls find the forever homes they deserve.
