Donate to Save Zena's Life

Hello everyone, my name is Lissette and I’m reaching out for medical help for my diabetic fur baby Zena.

She’s been in and out of the hospital for the last couple of weeks after she had near-fatal gastrointestinal hemorrhaging and pancreatitis. In less than 17 hours, it got to the point where she was vomiting and had bloody diarrhea to the point where she couldn’t even move from how weak she was.

We rushed her to Long Beach Animal Emergency, where she was deemed "critical" after intake, and she received overnight intensive care treatments for 3 days.

However, even after a near $4,000 bill and assuring me she was stable, LBAE did not do their due diligence, and Zena got worse and had to continue getting treatments for the next few weeks at Primary Care Animal Hospital Bixby Knolls, where her medical bill totaled another $1,645.

The invoice total for her days of hospitalization was $5,588.

Now, with lots of love, care, and medications from the team at PCAH, she has shown improvement, but she’s still having internal issues that the doctors are still trying to find the source of.

Her Lemonade insurance covered a little more than half of the total bill at $3,239, but I am seeking help to cover the rest of the $2,349 in hospital fees.

I've maxed out the Care Credit that we have along with a few other cards. I was not able to obtain any Scratchpay loans as I am currently in between jobs.

So I am asking for help. ANY amount is appreciated and no amount is too small. I understand times are hard for many of us, including myself. If you are not able to donate, a share and good thoughts for Zena would be tremendously appreciated as you would be helping to save her life.

I love Zena so much. She is my first dog, she is currently 9 years old (turning 10 in August), and I've been raising her since she was weeks old. She has been a light for me since coming in at a difficult time in life. She truly is family and is such a gentle soul, and she deserves to live a longer life.
